Bitcoin Electricity Consumption Stats in 2021 - CBECI

It’s May 2021 and Bitcoin is using as much energy as Egypt. Or, not? As I did research into Bitcoin’s electricity consumption, I was bombarded with stats. I was primarily interested in how much, where the heck they get all that power and what types of power are used. The Cambridge Bitcoin Electricity Consumption Index attempts to answer at least how much power is used by Bitcoin.
The script has an Easter egg for all the Star Wars fans out there.
