Kenmin-no-Hama or "citizens of the prefecture's beach" is a popular attraction on the island.

The island of Kamigari is connected by a toll-free bridge to Shimokamigari Island. It is the second island in a chain which starts at the western edge of Mount Noro in Kawajiri. In all, 2,700 people (2000) live on the island. (Read More: Kamagari)
