Kintai Bridge spans Nishiki River. The bridge was a masterpiece of engineering with its 5 arches when it was first built in 1673. Pictured here are the final 3 segments leading to the historic samurai quarter.

Iwakuni City is the eastern-most city in Yamaguchi Prefecture of over 100,000 people. Kintai Bridge in Iwakuni is considered one of the top three in Japan. The area is also famous for its unique white snakes. (Read More: Iwakuni City)
